Ellis to miss Cowboys' OTAs
By Tom Orsborn - Express-News
The Dallas Cowboys are expected to resume their organized team activities today in Carrollton without outside linebacker Greg Ellis.
Citing anonymous sources, several media outlets reported last week that the team told Ellis, 33, he wouldn't be allowed to participate in the remainder of the OTAs. According to those reports, the Cowboys are going to either trade or release Ellis, an 11-year veteran.
The Cowboys have two more weeks of OTAs, with each week containing three sessions. The media has access to the players and coaches each Tuesday.
The team's mandatory minicamp is set for June 15-17. Training camp begins July 28 in San Antonio and runs through Aug. 19.
