Player Update: Stephen Hodge, LB

The Cowboys have moved strong safety Stephen Hodge to inside linebacker, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports. "It's a big adjustment because I never played inside linebacker," Hodge says. "So now I've got to throw out the old playbook, learn the playbook and just learn how to read blocks and just make plays." Hodge was a sixth-round pick out of TCU.

Our View: This begs the question, why didn't they do this with safety Roy Williams about three seasons ago? Hodge will surely spend his rookie season on special teams, provided he even makes the cut.
