DMN Blog: Dez Bryant, Roy Williams catch Mike Jenkins' eye at Cowboys OTA
by Todd Archer
When you need to really know what a wide receiver has, you go to the cornerbacks. Mike Jenkins came away impressed with first-round pick Dez Bryant and Roy Williams on Monday.
"He's going to be a big-time wide receiver," Jenkins said.
On a deep ball during one-on-one drills, Bryant out-leaped Jenkins for a Tony Romo pass down the sideline, showing right away that he can not only make plays in the rookie mini-camp but also against the veterans, too.
But Jenkins also had big praise for Williams, who had a juggling catch on a Romo deep ball in seven-on-seven drills that even had owner and GM Jerry Jones asking the media if we saw the nice grab.
"Roy came out on fire today," Jenkins said. "That's the best I've seen Roy since he got here. He looked like a No. 1 receiver. "
