IRVING – It's been a long time since Marc Colombo has felt as good as he is now. Colombo, a backup offensive tackle, was signed by the Cowboys on Nov. 1 after spending most of his three years in Chicago recovering from a severe left knee injury his rookie year in 2002. Colombo suffered nerve damage and was unable to regain much of his strength.

Cowboys strength coach Joe Juraszek has Colombo, who is signed through next season, on a program to help with his flexibility more than power. As a result, Colombo believes he is moving more fluidly than he had been in Chicago. "I'm in a much better body position than I've probably been in my life," Colombo said. "Obviously I have a lot more work to do, but I'm on the right track." He saw his first action Sunday at New York, playing on the field goal block team. At 6-8, he can be a presence on the interior line and has two blocks to his credit. He is also feeling more comfortable with the offense and said he would be ready to go if needed.
