Cowboys DE Greg Ellis will seek a trade or release if his role on the team doesn't change.
Ellis is getting paid well, but wants to play more and feels the 3-4 defense doesn't suit him. He's a situation pass rusher. He'll meet with Jerry Jones at June minicamp, but the owner has an emotial attachment to keeping the '98 first-round pick.
