ESPN Chat - Jeremy Green, ESPN Insider

NFC East stuff and Cowboys Stuff ---

James (Philly Philly): We have a SERIOUS problem at running back...Westbook can't carry the WHOLE load for the season...moats is already hurt...buckhalter and his knee can't stay strong..why aren't we making a play for C. Brown or Duckett??? WE NEED HELP!!!!

Jeremy Green: I agree that the outlook does not look good. I think the biggest reason is that neither back fits what Reed wants at the position. You are talking about two bigger tackle to tackle RB's - that is not their system.
--------------

Wingo (Deptford, NJ): How hard is it going to be for Broderick Bunkley to catch up with the rest of the team now that he has signed with the Eagles (per Dave Spadaro's column on philadelphiaeagles.com)

Jeremy Green: I think at the DT posiiton you can catch up quickly. I think it it is always easier to catch up as a defensive player. As a DT, he does not have a ton or responsibilities - it is so much read and react - I think he will get inthe mix rather quickly.

-------------

Andy (Lake Grove, NY): What do you think of the Philly receiving corps? Do you see Reggie Brown as a solid #1 receiver? What about Hank Baskett? I've heard some great things about him during training camp.

Jeremy Green: I think they still need another legit guy. I think Brown is a #2 right now. Gaffney is not better than a #3. I think they too should be involved in the Lelie talks. As for Baskett he is still a little raw, but I know he has picked up the offense well and they like him.
-------------

Andy (Lake Grove, NY): Do you see Eli Manning in Hawaii this year along with his brother?

Jeremy Green: Not in Hawaii, but I think he will continue to mature and get better. I have alwsy been a suporter and word out of camp is that he looks real sharp He finished the season on a low note, but keep in mind he played in the tough SEC on a marginal team - he is mentally tough and I expect him to rebound.
---------------

Majeed: JG, What about NFC playoff teams?

Jeremy Green: Division winners - Dallas, Chicago, Carolina, Seattle. Wild Cards are Washington and Arizona. Tough to go against the G-men but while they are splitting at 3-3 in the tough NFC East, I think Arizona could go 4-2 or even 5-1 in the NFC West should they upset Seattle at home.
