NFC East blurbs aplenty in SI's Truth & Rumors

The Falcons remained in trade talks regarding tailback T.J. Duckett Monday, with the Redskins being one of the potential trade partners, according to a person with knowledge of the situation. It appears that Atlanta would prefer a player, or players, for Duckett rather than draft picks. The Falcons' most pressing need is at No. 3 wideout. -- Atlanta Journal-Constitution

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said that Drew Bledsoe was not in jeopardy of losing his starting job to backup Tony Romo. He said there never was a controversy. -- Fort Worth Star-Telegram

Jerry Jones said speculation that receiver Terrell Owens did not practice on Saturday evening because earlier that day Cowboys coach Bill Parcells said he would not play on Monday night is wrong. -- Fort Worth Star-Telegram

There's been talk for weeks that the Broncos like Eagles RB Ryan Moats a lot, so it's not inconceivable that he could be dealt for wide receiver Ashley Lelie. -- Philadelphia Inquirer

The three most likely reasons the Eagles wouldn't comment on Stephen Davis are these: The team didn't like what it saw during Davis' physical. There were complications in salary negotiations based on the fact that Davis was "released injured" by the Panthers, which means he is being paid a portion of the $1.8 million base salary he would have received had he not been released.
