Romo: It's an open competition!

Even after a strong performance from Drew Bledsoe, backup Tony Romo said he still thinks he's in the running for the starting job.
Romo was 6-of-8 for 138 yards and a touchdown in tonight's 30-7 victory over the Saints. He did have a fumble, which led to the Saints' only score of the game.
"It's an open competition," Romo said before leaving the locker room.
The national media have taken up Romo's cause the last couple of days, predicting that he will supplant Bledsoe at some point. On Monday, Romo turned what was supposed to be a short out pass into a 48-yard touchdown to rookie Miles Austin.
Bledsoe was 12-of-16 for 156 yards and two touchdowns. At halftime, owner Jerry Jones said that it was way too early to "anoint" a new starting quarterback.

Romo said he dislocated his index finger during practice last week, but that it didn't hamper him tonight.

Romo and Bledsoe had a combined passer rating of 155.2.
