Owens threw a barbecue for his teammates
Early practice report...
Terrell Owens is not practicing, but he did wear his cleats today.
We'll let you know if he does any running. I realize many of you are already sick of the round-the-clock T.O. coverage. I'm sensitive to this fact, but the fact remains that he's the biggest personality on this team.
Terry Glenn also sitting this one out with blisters on his big toes.
DMN columnist Kevin Blackistone has arrived on the scene and I'm sure will be joining us on the blog any minute.
Just received a phone call from Hall of Famer Rayfield Wright, who is passing through Indianapolis on his way home from Canton, Ohio. He spoke to a group of 80 inner-city kids from the Washington D.C. area this morning.
Lucille Hayes-Hester, sister of the late and great Cowboys wide receiver Bob Hayes, brought the kids to Canton, Ohio, for Wright's induction.

Sights and Sounds from T.O. BBQ
I was one of three media members to get a special invite to the BBQ T.O. threw for members of the team and staff Sunday:
• The place - only about 15 minutes from the Cowboys' training camp complex - took about 2 hours to find because I had bad directions and it was impossible to find. If you can picture this, you had to turn into what appeared to be an ordinary nursery and then drive 7-8 minutes past the lemon and orange trees into an oasis that popped out of nowhere.
• Terrific baked chicken, pretty good brisket, excellent baked beans with ground beef and I was told the salad was excellent. Didn't eat a lot because the flies were plentiful and aggressive. Kind of ruined my appetite.
• My favorite actress was in house. That alone made it a good BBQ
• T.O. was enthralled with this game. He wound up losing the best of 9 series - 5-4 - on the last ball.
• This former UCLA stud shared some of the cost of the BBQ. I didn't even know he and T.O. were boys.
• T.O.s mom was a hit at this. It must be her country roots.
• If you can believe this, I took the first shot of my career, hit the target and left the range. I figured I couldn't do any better than perfection. Lots of witnesses so don't question my veracity.
