ESPN: Scientific Method

By KC Joyner, ESPN.com

The Cowboys' receiving combination of Terrell Owens, Terry Glenn and Jason Witten gives Dallas the perfect blend of short, medium and deep targets.

Both Witten and Owens placed in the top three at their positions in yards per attempt on short passes last year. Witten also ranked second among tight ends in both medium pass yards per attempt and medium pass success percentage.

Owens and Glenn are both very good at deep receptions. Owens had an off year in 2005, yet he still ranked tied for 16th among wide receivers in deep pass yards per attempt. Glenn ranked sixth in deep pass YPA and ranked third in deep pass success percentage.

This mix of talents should give Drew Bledsoe and Bill Parcells plenty of flexibility in their passing attack this year.
