NFL Week 2 Predictions

from shieldfan's blog

Carolina @ Minnesota: Carolina is looking to recover from their week 1 loss, but Minnesota has shown they are a lot tougher than many may have believed. Everything again hinges on whether or not Steve Smith plays and Delhomme makes good decisions. FINAL: Carolina 24 Minnesota 20

Buffalo @ Miami: Buffalo made a decent showing against the Patriots, but eventually collapsed and allowed the Patriots to come back for the win. Miami lost a heartbreaker to the Steelers. This is a huge rivalry that is always fun to watch. FINAL: Miami 17 Buffalo 13

NY Giants @ Philadelphia: Philly has their fans excited - but why? They only beat the Texans. The Giants gave Indy everything they could handle. This is still an NFC East rivalry that could go either way, but safe bet is on the Giants. FINAL: Giants 30 Eagles 20

New Orleans @ Green Bay: Green Bay is miserable right now and it likely won't get much better. New Orleans may even blow them out. FINAL: Saints 31 Packers 10

Houston @ Indianapolis: Sorry, but even though the Texans may be improved, they simply won't win this game unless one of those rare NFL oddities happens. FINAL: Colts 42 Texans 17

Detroit @ Chicago: This may be one of the better games of the week. Just a short time ago it would have been a stinker. Go figure. Chicago is not a lock. FINAL: Chicago 17 Detroit 14

Cleveland @ Cincinnati: Cleveland keeps improving slowly, but not enough to take down the Bengals, rivalry or not. FINAL: Bengals 30 Browns 10

Tampa Bay @ Atlanta: Another great game! Tampa stunk in week 1, but they always seem to have the solution to Michael Vick. FINAL: Atlanta 24 Tampa 13

Oakland @ Baltimore: The Raiders may have a good defense if they can stay off the field and get rested. Their offense is horrible. McNair seems to be just the right solution for Baltimore. Gonna be interesting. FINAL: Ravens 19 Raiders 17

Arizona @ Seattle: Another game that would have been lackluster in the past but could now be key to winning the division. Seattle had better watch out for that blazing Arizona offense! FINAL: Arizona 27 Seattle 24

St. Louis @ San Francisco : The Niners looked pretty decent last week. But the Rams looked good. FINAL: Rams 30 San Fran 17

Tennessee @ San Diego: I was impressed with how Phillip Rivers played. He looks like he has a pretty good handle on the offense. Tennessee has problems. They may gel at some point this season, but not this week. FINAL: Chargers 38 Tennessee 10

New England @ NY Jets: This may be a tougher game than Patriots fans expect. FINAL: New England 20 Jets 17

Kansas City @ Denver: Blowout. Simple as that. Without Trent Green the Chiefs have no offense. FINAL: Denver 38 Chiefs 3

Washington @ Dallas: The Redskins play a lot better than they look on paper. They also broke Dallas' winning streak in the rivalry last year. Great game. May decide the division winner. FINAL: Dallas 28 Redskins 24

Pittsburgh @ Jacksonville: Jacksonville is tough. They refused to give up against Dallas and came out with a win. The Steelers seem to be pretty solid with Batch as QB, but they still struggled against Miami for most of the game. FINAL: Jags 27 Steelers 20
