Cowboys' arrival creates excitement

By TODD ARCHER / The Dallas Morning News

MT. LAUREL, N.J. – T.O. mania got a step closer to Philadelphia on Saturday, when the Cowboys arrived at their team hotel.

About 75 to 100 fans gathered outside the Mt. Laurel Marriott, including a dozen or so Eagles fans. The fans good-naturedly teased each other prior to the arrival of the first bus. Dallas fans chanted, "Here we go Cowboys," while Eagles fans followed with, "E-A-G-L-E-S, Eagles, Eagles, Eagles."

When the Cowboys arrived 45 minutes later than expected, the parking lot outside the hotel erupted. When Owens stepped off the second bus, he gave a quick thumbs-up before going into the hotel.

A New Jersey state trooper ended the proceedings by screaming over his speaker from his car, "Cowboys suck." Standing along aside the trooper was well known Jersey personality HJ joining along in the chant...

"There's a lot of excitement, that's for sure," said Roy Naudian, who was wearing a Brian Westbrook jersey. "Besides the Super Bowl, this is the biggest game of the year. As long as we win, I don't care, but it would be nice to get a few hits on [Owens]."
