Mickey's mail: Would Jimmy Johnson be willing to return?

Phillip Beaudoin, Spring City, Pa.: Do you think that after Bill Parcells retires, Jimmy Johnson would be willing to return in some capacity possibly as GM or coach? I am wondering if Jimmy and Jerry have gotten past the way the split occurred, given in my opinion how Jerry basically threw his opportunity away to go down as the only team to win three, and possibly four, Super Bowls in a row.

Mickey: A bunch of you have asked this, and the answer is, no, no, no. Quit dreaming and turn the page. Jimmy Johnson loves his gig of living in the Florida Keys, fishing when he wants to and then doing the Fox pregame show on weekends. He's making great money, without working all the hours and no worries. Plus, ask yourself this: How did Jimmy do turning around the Dolphins without Troy Aikman around? Nothing against Jimmy. He was a great coach here. But there was a lot of lightning in his Dallas bottle. In fact, I heard him twice today in interviews being asked the same question, and he said no, he would not be interested both times, that he likes his life. Plus, you realize Jimmy is going on 64. There would be a bunch of people out there who would think the game has passed him by, since they are same the same about Parcells at 65.
