The Cowboys signed linebacker John Saldi, the son of former Cowboys' tight end Jay, to a futures contract. Saldi went to training camp with the Cowboys and was among the final cuts. He will likely be sent to NFL Europe.

Switzer returning to Dallas?

I didn't bump into him yesterday, but I'm told former Cowboys head coach Barry Switzer was walking the halls of Valley Ranch.

A Cowboys official just assured me that Switzer was in the neighborhood and probably wanted to say hello to some old friends.

Did anyone else watch Barry and Jimmy Johnson during FOX's broadcast of the OU-Boise State game the other night?

Made for great theater.

Would Jerry consider bringing Barry back for another run?

I know you think I'm nuts, but I wouldn't rule it out completely.
