Cowboys sign Brad Johnson to back up Tony Romo

The Cowboys signed veteran Brad Johnson on Monday to back up quarterback Tony Romo.
Johnson received a three-year deal that includes a base salary of $3.5million in 2007. Denver also was interested in Johnson, who was released last month by Minnesota.
Johnson, a 15-year veteran, led Tampa Bay to a victory over Oakland in the Super Bowl after the 2002 season.
Johnson started 14 games for the Vikings last season, passing for 2,750 yards, nine touchdowns and 15 interceptions.
The Cowboys also re-signed kicker Martin Gramatica to a two-year deal.
