Day 2--Bill Who?
It has become obvious--just 2 practices into the 2007 Cowboys season, this team belongs to Wade Phillips, NOT Bill Parcells.
Phillips actually uttered the phrase, "this is my team", during his daily press conference this morning. Uh, yeah Wade...we know.
Same press conference, a reported asked Phillips if the team was in shape. Phillips said yes, and then mentioned that a certain Cowboy avoided a "weight fine" for the first time in 5 years. Who? Phillips wouldn't say--but did say it wasn't himself. He then pointed out the Cowboys never fined Parcells for his weight issues, and that brought the house down.
The point--camp has become about taking shots at Bill Parcells. You hear the words--free, easy-going, as many times as you hear Super Bowl and playoffs. Did players hate playing for Parcells that much? Seems like it.
I guess my question to you, the Cowboys fan--did you feel the same way?
