Marion Barber III, RB — Dallas Cowboys

Barber's statistics were better than starter Julius Jones' in every category that mattered, so he should get an opportunity to compete for the starting job. The Cowboys may prefer to keep Jones as the starter because Barber was so good in his role as third-down and short-yardage back. Those roles also make sure each runner is fresh throughout the game, though Barber did a good job of closing out some games in the fourth quarter. (Jean-Jacques Taylor for SN)
