Glenn, Adams among scratches for exhibition opener

SAN ANTONIO -- Cowboys starting tackles Flozell Adams and Marc Colombo and receiver Terry Glenn will not play Thursday night against Indianapolis in the preseason opener for both teams.


Second-year player Pat McQuistan will start at left tackle and rookie fourth-round selection Doug Free will start at right tackle. Patrick Crayton will start opposite Terrell Owens at wide receiver.


“The real evaluation comes when the game starts,” coach Wade Phillips said. “Some guys practice good. It’s how you play and produce in the game. That’s how we’ll evaluate them.”
