DMN Blog: Backed into a corner again?
The Cowboys' cornerback conundrum kind of reminds Todd Archer of their situation at that crucial position in 2004. Those who recall that 6-10 season know that's not a good thing.
The Cowboys had a revolving door at the CB spot opposite Terence Newman three years ago. Giving up 31 touchdown passes convinced Jerry to splurge for Anthony Henry that off-season.
Henry struggled last season while playing on a bad knee, but he's the least of the Cowboys' CB concerns now. A small tear in the plantar fascia that prevents Newman from being able to plant his foot tops the list. That's followed by a frightening lack of quality depth.
Eli Manning must be licking his lips.
