DMN Blog: Staubach thinks Romo's for real

SportsDay's Brandon George chatted with Roger Staubach, who is taking in the Texas Tech-Oklahoma State game while trying to talk billionaire Pokes booster T. Boone Pickens into moving the series to JerryWorld.

Brandon was kind enough to squeeze in a question about Staubach's old pro team and forward the answer my way.

"I feel really good about the Dallas Cowboys," Staubach said. "They have a guy there who really makes things happen. Tony Romo is the real deal. He’s got a confidence about himself and the players believe in him.

"With Tony, anything can happen out there. And I think the Cowboys will be in the playoffs this year. And if you get in the playoffs, anything can happen."

Todd Archer also chatted with Staubach this week. I won't give away what Staubach said, but you can read all about it tomorrow.

Since I'm on a roll with shameless plugs, join me over on the colleges blog if you're interested in the Red Raiders-Pokes game.
