Henry has gone from giving up TDs to loading up on INTs
Associated Press - September 26, 2007 6:55 PM ET
IRVING, Texas (AP) - Dallas Cowboy Anthony Henry gave up so many big plays last season that the coaches considered moving him from cornerback to safety.
The Cowboys could only cringe when New York Giants receiver Plaxico Burress beat Henry for a 60-yard touchdown with the season less than two minutes old.
A few more shrieks followed that night, plus a groan when Henry swatted a dead ball, drawing a five-yard penalty for delay of game.
But Henry bounced back from his ugly opener by intercepting two passes and snagging an onside kick to help prevent any chance of a Miami comeback.
Henry picked off two more passes against Chicago, returning one 23 yards for a touchdown.
Now Henry is the NFL leader in interceptions.
Henry also has a team-best eight passes deflected, after having none in the opener.
The Cowboys on Sunday will host St. Louis.
