Garrett's future tied to Cowboys' wins

IRVING -- Cowboys offensive coordinator Jason Garrett might become a hot head-coaching commodity in the off-season.
In his third year coaching in the NFL and his first in Dallas, Garrett directs the league's No. 1 offense. The Cowboys (4-0) are averaging 440 yards and 37.8 points.
If the success continues, Garrett figures to be sought for a head-coaching job.
"If he's done that well and has those kind of opportunities, then it means we've done really well," Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said.
Garrett was Jones' first hire after Bill Parcells retired.
Glenn on the mend
Receiver Terry Glenn is rehabbing his knee at Valley Ranch and expects to return this season.
Jerry Jones said he spoke with Glenn on Thursday and said Glenn is "very ambitiously and aggressively doing everything he can do rehabbing, and he expects to play."
Glenn has had two arthroscopic knee surgeries since training camp, including one on Sept. 13 to repair torn cartilage. He would miss at least another week by the original timetable of four to five weeks.
Tank working out
Suspended Cowboys defensive tackle Tank Johnson has been working out at Valley Ranch and undergoing counseling with team consultant Calvin Hill.
Johnson recently signed a two-year deal and is serving an eight-game suspension.
"He's working to try and do the kind of work and make the kind of impression that would influence the commissioner and let him get back early," Jerry Jones said.
If Johnson wins his appeal, he could have his suspension reduced by two games and be eligible to return for the Minnesota game on Oct. 21.
Briefly
Jerry Jones said injured cornerback Anthony Henry (high ankle sprain) might return for next week's game against New England. Henry did not practice Thursday and will not play Monday.
Safety and special teams captain Keith Davis (pectoral) and fullback Oliver Hoyte (pinched nerve in neck) had limited work in practice. Davis missed the St. Louis game.
Safety Courtney Brown (biceps) did not practice.
