The Gaston Gazette disputes an ESPN.com report that the Panthers have contacted free agent Javon Walker.
The Gazette points out that Carolina tried to trade for Walker before he was released, but has since soured on the idea of acquiring him. Walker hasn't visited anywhere yet, but the Cowboys seem the favorites to land him.
