The Cowboys have had recent discussions with S Ken Hamlin's agent, but upcoming changes to the collective bargaining agreement have made negotiations

Hamlin must reach an agreement with the team by July 15, or he will have to play for the franchise tender of $4.396 million. Any long-term deal would then have to wait until after the season.
