The Fort Myers News-Press reports that scouts from 20 pro teams were in attendance for Sunday's preseason game against New England, possibly tracking the performance of Chris Simms. Simms said, "I think if I’m here two weeks from now, they’re going to release me. Other than that, if I get traded before then, then I get traded. But if it comes down to the last cut, and I’m still here, they’re going to release me. I don’t think there’s any doubt about that." Simms went 2-for-4 with 24 passing yards in the game.

Our View: The Vikings, Cowboys, Colts, and Ravens all could be looking to make upgrades at backup quarterback soon.
