DALLAS -- Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, who has missed three games with a broken pinkie, went through light passing drills in practice Wednesday and expects to start the team's next game.
"I would be very surprised if I didn't," Romo said.
Romo, who was hurt on his throwing hand in a 30-24 loss to Arizona on October 12, plans to return when the Cowboys face their arch-rivals, the Washington Redskins, on Nov. 16. This week is a bye.
"I expect to practice. We're going to see (how much)," Romo said. "It's feeling better, but it's still not all healed and see where it does."
Tyree's season done
New York Giants wide receiver David Tyree will miss the rest of the season without playing since the team won the Super Bowl in February helped by his final catch.
Tyree, who pulled his hamstring in practice after returning from offseason knee surgery, was put on the injured-reserve list Wednesday.
Taylor honoured
WASHINGTON ---- The Washington Redskins will honour safety Sean Taylor before the Nov. 30 game with the New York Giants, inducting him into the team's Ring of Fame one year after his slaying. Taylor was shot while home in Florida with his family last year. He died on Nov. 27.
High-priced Hall cut
Former Pro Bowl cornerback DeAngelo Hall was cut by the Oakland Raiders eight games into the season. Hall was in the first season of a seven-year, $72 million contract and made $8 million for the first eight games this season, according to ESPN.com.
