Dallas Cowboys sign UTEP Miner grad Marcus Thomas to practice squad

Thomas, the former Miner standout who rushed for more than 2,000 yards in his career with the team, was signed by Detroit earlier this season, but was released.
Thomas was chosen in the fifth round of the 2007 NFL Draft by the San Diego Chargers.
