Dallas Cowboys sign UTEP Miner grad Marcus Thomas to practice squad

Updated: December 17, 2008, 4:13 PM EST add this RSS blog email Print EL PASO - The Dallas Cowboys signed running back Marcus Thomas to their practice squad on Tuesday, according to a report on the Dallas Morning News' Cowboys blog.
Thomas, the former Miner standout who rushed for more than 2,000 yards in his career with the team, was signed by Detroit earlier this season, but was released.
Thomas was chosen in the fifth round of the 2007 NFL Draft by the San Diego Chargers.
