DMN Blog: Wes Phillips to run special teams meetings
By Todd Archer
As he recovers from surgery to repair a fractured neck, special teams coach Joe DeCamillis will work on a part-time basis from home.
In DeCamillis' on-field absence, Wes Phillips, an offensive quality control coach the last two seasons, will run the special teams' meetings for the organized team activities next week and June 15-17 mini-camp.
The hope is DeCamillis will be able to return to the field in time for training camp on July 29.
Coach Wade Phillips said DeCamillis and his son, Wes, will meet each day to discuss the implementation of the special teams' plan and DeCamillis will be able to review tape of the practice sessions.
"Basically we will do it from Joe through Wes to the team," Wade Phillips said.
