Player Update: Roy Williams, WR

Cowboys' head coach Wade Phillips has faith that Roy Williams can handle the No. 1 role at wide receiver following the departure of Terrell Owens to Buffalo, according to the Dallas Morning News. Phillips said, "I do not know what other people think or what they are saying, but the guy has got all the talent in the world, and he wants to do it, so I think he has going to really do well for us. I do not have any doubt that he can play and be a big-time player. He has already done that."
Our View: Williams was inconsistent over his career with the Lions, but he has a much better supporting cast in Dallas, namely at quarterback with Tony Romo. Williams may not make as big of an impact as Owens, but should still be productive enough to serve as a solid No. 2 fantasy receiver.
