The Cowboys’ rookie class keeps taking hits, with two more draft picks expected to miss considerable time.
Head coach Wade Phillips announced in his Monday press conference that both linebacker Jason Williams and safety Michael Hamlin will be out 4-6 weeks after sustaining injuries in last Saturday’s game against the 49ers.
Williams, a third-round pick and the team’s top choice in 2009, suffered a high ankle sprain. Hamlin, a fifth-round pick (166th overall) has a broken wrist.
Phillips said he doesn’t expect the Cowboys will place either player on the injured reserve.
