Matt Mosley, of the Dallas Morning News, reports one day after a report surfaced that legendary former Dallas Cowboys QB Don Meredith had suffered a stroke, the Meredith family released a statement saying, "It has come to our attention that recent television and newspaper reports have indicated that Don had a stroke and was recovering. We would like to let everyone know that Don had a minor stroke in November 2004, recovered and is doing fine." A TV report said Meredith had suffered a stroke and been advised by doctors not to fly to Dallas for Sunday's Dallas Cowboys Alumni Association Gala, March 5, at Texas Stadium.
