Boiman out for two weeks
"Versatile linebacker Rocky Boiman suffered a compound fracture to his right thumb in Monday's second practice, leaving the field holding his right hand and in obvious pain.
The trainers and doctors then escorted him off the sideline, giving him immediate attention. Boiman will have surgery Tuesday and could miss at least two weeks. His condition will be updated by Cowboys head coach Bill Parcells at his Tuesday news conference here at 11:30 a.m. (PDT).
Boiman was signed as a free agent this off-season to provide depth at the linebacker position and to play special teams, where he excelled in Tennessee, totaling at least 15 special teams tackles in three of his four seasons with the Titans."
