IRVING _ Unable to finalize a trade, the Cowboys are expected to release quarterback Drew Henson today, a source said.
Henson’s departure would come one day after coach Bill Parcells announced he would not be on the roster in 2006, effectively ending his three-year stay in Dallas.
The Cowboys had hoped to get something for Henson in a trade, spending most of Wednesday on the phone seeking possible partners.
They have little hope that something will be done at the last minute and are ready to move on, a source said
