ESPN Mort Chat Wrap...3 'boys blurb
Sam (Los Angeles): Mort, I heard this guy no one is talking about, TO (pronounced Tee-oh incase you've never heard of him) is playing for the Cowboys. What sort of numbers do you think he'll put up this year?
Chris Mortensen: (11:51 AM ET ) My guess is between 60-70 catches, 1,100 yards, 12 TDs.
------------------
Rhonda Mt. Olive ,Illinois : hey Mort How much do you see Tony Romo playing this season?
Chris Mortensen: (12:04 PM ET ) If Bledsoe is not well-protected, it will happen. That's the gist of it.
------------------
Chris (NY): Mort, I don't understand the love affair with the Cowboys. Most of what I read in terms of predictions have the Cowboys winning the NFC East. How can anyone say their personnel is superior to that of the Giants? The schedule argument is flawed too, because 1) the Cowboys and Giants have 14 common games (including head to head) and 2) if schedule is an issue, why are the Bengals as highly touted as they are - their strength of schedule is identical to the Giants.
Chris Mortensen: (11:14 AM ET ) Myself, I can make a case for all four teams - Cowboys, Eagles, Giants & Redskins. You may be right about the schedule. I happen to think the G-men will beat the Colts. But the Cowboys' defense has a chance to be easpecially dominant. Plus, don't forget, people predicting stuff tend to pick somebody other than the defending champion because the trend has usually been that way.
