Mosley locker room report

Recap by Cowboy from New York in a sports forum:

Asked about Drew Bledsoe's condition, Parcells said, "He's OK. I think he will be fine. I just took him out. I think he could have kept playing if he would have wanted to."

Bledsoe was long gone by the time we reached the locker room...Other thoughts from Parcells: "We can't do the things we did tonight and expect to win. We had two turnovers in the red zone. Two point-blank field goals for the win, and we couldn't make those."

Parcells said he wasn't in the "emotional state" to discuss his personnel decisions...Bill Parcells said he didn't go for a 2-point conversion at the end of regulation because, "we didn't really have a good play."

The Cowboys used their 2-point play on Tony Romo's touchdown pass to Tyson Thompson. You'd like to think the Cowboys have more than one conversion play, but it's still early.

I have no clue why a coach would ask his team to play an extra 15 minutes for no good reason. And several players had the same feeling. You should've seen the second-team offensive line after the game. Guard Cory Procter and center Al Johnson could barely get up from their lockers.

Mike Vanderjagt talked to reporters for about 15 minutes after missing kicks of 33 and 32 yards in overtime. "I have the ability to turn it on when it counts...They were easy kicks, I can make them in my sleep. I don't really have any answers for you. I just missed two field goals. You can only rest on your laurels so long...I had a bad day at the office"

Scouting chief Jeff Ireland walked over and had a visit with rookie defensive end Stephen Bowen after the game. Ireland's liked what he's seen from Bowen, which means the team will probably put him on the practice squad. Ireland also told me that Pat McQuistan had a pretty solid night against Vikings defensive end Erasmus James...Great U.S. Open match going on right now.
