Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said Friday he's in no hurry to hear whether Bill Parcells plans on returning to coach the team next season.

"I'm not uncomfortable right now," Jones told Sportsradio 1310 The Ticket in Dallas. "Look, if I really wanted to push it, I could have an answer tonight, and be happy with it. I just don't have an issue with it right now in terms of time frame."

Parcells hasn't ruled out the possibility of retiring. He has until Feb. 1 to notify Jones of his plans.

Owens has surgery: Cowboys receiver Terrell Owens underwent surgery Thursday in Miami to repair a torn tendon on the tip of his right index finger.

It's the second time in the last five months he's had surgery on the hand. In September, a plate was inserted into the hand to repair a broken bone.

Owens led the Cowboys with 85 receptions for 1,180 yards and 13 touchdowns. He also had a league-high 18 drops.
