NFL Network's Adam Schefter reports Hall of Fame QB Troy Aikman is assisting owner Jerry Jones in the Cowboys' head-coaching search.

Aikman has long been a fan of Turner, so this could have a large effect on the way Jones leans in his decision. Schefter also seconds the Fort Worth Star-Telegram's report that Turner is the frontrunner for the job.
