When He Cares, Terrell Owens Is a Great Teammate

If you ask the average Philadelphia fan which NFL player is the worst teammate, I think you'd get a nearly unanimous answer: Terrell Owens. But San Francisco and New York fans who remember Garrison Hearst's 96-yard touchdown run to lead the 49ers to an overtime win over the Jets might think otherwise. Watch the video, and notice that Owens, No. 81 for the 49ers, sprints downfield to make the key block at the end:

This isn't a particularly timely post, but NFL Network just ran an NFL Films segment showing Hearst's run, and I thought it was worth pointing out that Owens is -- at times -- a great teammate. He's capable of doing the things that don't get a lot of attention but that help teams win. It would be nice if he could do so without being such a jerk, though.
