Getting Comfortable In Dallas
There’s a lot of optimism and a lot of people are excited with a new coaching staff coming in this year. Whenever there’s a change, people get excited for whatever reason. There was a big learning curve in the OTAs and minicamps because there’s a whole new offense and defense. A lot of players responded well and I’m pretty excited. New offensive coordinator Jason Garrett’s play calling seems to me early on to be on the attack a bunch. It’s exciting for a player in my position or really any of the skill players. I think we’re going to be able to move the ball and move the ball efficiently. So, he’s attack oriented and he really wants to dictate that as an offense. So, we’re all pretty exited.
For me personally, I want to contribute to this team in any way coaches see fit, but also whenever my number is called I want to make plays and be dependable in any situation. Jason Witten has been a great player to learn under. He’s taught me a lot of things that coaches really can’t teach you – a lot of the nuances of the position. He’s been around and had some success, so I’ve really benefited from playing with him. Tony Romo has stepped up and become a great leader. He’s been throwing a lot and I have worked with him and I think it’s going to make a big difference this year.
