Romo's really made it big now
Just saw Tony Romo's SportsCenter commercial for the first time.
Romo, wearing his jersey, is working as a receptionist at the ESPN office. He takes a call for one of the anchors, looks down at his wristband and rattles off the guy's extension. After hanging up, Romo stops another anchor who was walking by, looks at his wristband again and passes on a message.
This guy will be in Hollywood in no time.

R. Ayodele clears waivers
NT Remi Ayodele has cleared waivers after being cut by the Falcons over the weekend.
The Cowboys couldn't claim Ayodele because of an NFL rule stating a team can't cut a player and claim him off waivers within a certain time period. He's now available to be signed to the Cowboys' 53-man roster or practice squad.
Ayodele, Akin's younger brother, would give the Cowboys another option at nose tackle. Jay Ratliff will be the starter, and DE Stephen Bowen has worked inside some. The Cowboys won't have to get rid of anybody to sign Ayodele because Jason Ferguson is going on the IR.

Reeves got a game ball, but ...
Wade Phillips went out of his way to praise Jacques Reeves' performance as a fill-in starter. But he also made it clear that the Cowboys couldn't unveil a lot of the Phillips 3-4 wrinkles because of Terence Newman's absence.
"We didn’t play hardly any man to man at all because of the matchups," Phillips said.
It's tough to bring a bunch of blitzers if your cornerbacks can't play man. And it's tough to double-team a dominant WR if you can't leave the guy alone on the opposite side. Phillips said Newman would have been one-on-one against Amani Toomer a lot, allowing the Cowboys to double cover Plaxico Burress.
"He can shut down the whole right side or left side of the field," LB Bradie James said about Newman. "Not too many guys can do that. You can call the game differently with a guy like that."
