Tony Romo-QB-Cowboys

A league source tells Profootballtalk.com that the agent for Tony Romo has requested an extension guaranteeing $30 million on behalf of his client.

The deal would make Romo richer than Peyton Manning. The Cowboys reportedly rejected the request, but remain interested in locking Romo up for the long term. With Romo's play at a high, his price tag is soaring. The franchise number for quarterbacks is expected to be roughly $10.7 million in 2008. Romo is in a contract year, so the tag is an option for Dallas.
