5-1 Cowboys still confident

Associated Press - October 15, 2007 6:25 PM ET

IRVING, Texas (AP) - The 5-1 Dallas Cowboys are still confident.

But the Cowboys expect to see the New England Patriots again this season, when the outcome will mean so much more than remaining undefeated in mid-October.

New England remained unbeaten by defeating Dallas 48-27.

Cowboys receiver Terrell (TER'-el) Owens wasn't in the locker room today, but said after the game, "We'll see them down the road."

There's only one way that can happen.

The Patriots and Cowboys - the only teams to win three Super Bowls in a 4-year span - would both have to make it to the February 3rd Super Bowl in Arizona.

Coach Wade Phillips says it's disappointing to have lost this one game -- but they've got to forward.

The Cowboys are home again next Sunday against Minnesota (2-3).
