DMN Blog: Jerry to Tuna: Take No. 1 pick and shove it
by Tim MacMahon
Well, those weren't Jerry's exact words ... and he wasn't actually talking to Bill Parcells ... but he made it clear to folks in South Florida that the Cowboys aren't interested in trading for the No. 1 overall pick owned by the Dolphins.
"We haven't talked about that at all," Jerry told the Palm Beach Post.
Jerry later suggested that the only way it'd make sense to move up that high, considering the cost, would be to draft a quarterback. "Our quarterback is a piece of our team that we're very proud of," Jerry said, "so we're not in that business."
And, unless Jerry's lying through his teeth (kinda like Mark Cuban regarding Jason Kidd), Darren McFadden won't be a Cowboy unless he does some serious slipping on draft day.
Good thinking, Jerry!!
