DMN Blog: Tony Romo's ready for the Broncos

by Brian Davis

After spending one final practice throwing to Jason Witten and Terrell Owens, quarterback Tony Romo declared training camp in Oxnard a success. Then again, what else is he going to say?

Romo said he's ready to move on to Denver where the Cowboys will practice against the Broncos. He must anxious to bolt the Residence Inn. Romo signed some autographs after practice and accidentally signed his own helmet with a Sharpie.

"We're going to compete with another team now. That's exciting," Romo said. "It gets you out of the every-day camp feel sometimes for the bigger guys. It will be exciting to go out there and hopefully proving that we're capable of competing with another football team."

For the record, Romo doesn't have any qualms about coming back here next year. That's probably going to happen, too, considering Jerry Jones likes the weather and the atmosphere.

"Really behind the scenes I run everything," Romo said with a smile. "Nah, I think this has been a great place, and if were to come back, I'd be more than happy for sure."
