Cowboys still silent on Romo's condition

Tony Romo was basically a spectator in the middle of the field when the Dallas Cowboys started practice Friday. Nothing changed after that.
The Cowboys listed their two-time Pro Bowl quarterback as questionable for Sunday's game after he didn't participate in practice, the last one before playing at St. Louis. Romo has a broken pinkie on his throwing hand.
During the early portion of practice open to reporters, Romo mimicked throwing motions and lobbed only a couple of balls, but mostly stood and watched with his injured right hand hanging to his side or clasped behind his back.
Other than confirming Romo's status, coach Wade Phillips wouldn't elaborate when he made a brief appearance in the locker room after practice.
Tight end Jason Witten didn't answer questions, and usually talkative receiver Patrick Crayton responded, "You're not getting anything out of me."
Associated Press The Cowboys won't reveal until Sunday whether Tony Romo will play against the Rams.
Romo, who hasn't commented all week, didn't appear in the locker room when it was open to reporters. Neither did Brad Johnson, the 40-year-old backup who is in line to get his first start since 2006 for Minnesota.
GIANTS: Middle linebacker Antonio Pierce missed practice for the third straight day with a quad injury and was listed as questionable for Sunday's game against San Francisco.
Pierce has not said how or when he suffered the injury, but indicated it probably happened in the Giants' 44-6 win over Seattle on Oct. 5. He aggravated the injury Monday night against Cleveland, but returned to the game.
If Pierce does not play Sunday, Chase Blackburn will start.
BRONCOS: The NFL fined cornerback Dre' Bly $20,000 for inappropriate remarks about officials after Denver's 24-17 loss to Jacksonville last weekend.
Bly was agitated over an illegal contact call he drew in the third quarter, plus a pass interference call on Broncos safety Marlon McCree in the waning moments of the game.
RAVENS: Baltimore officially ruled out starting offensive tackle Adam Terry and return specialist Yamon Figurs for Sunday's game against Miami.
With Terry sidelined with a sprained right knee and lateral meniscus issue and right offensive guard Marshal Yanda out for the season with three torn ligaments, former second-round draft pick Chris Chester will start at right guard.
Four-time Pro Bowl lineman Willie Anderson will start his second consecutive game at right tackle.
STEELERS: Pro Bowl running back Willie Parker didn't practice for a third consecutive day and won't play in Pittsburgh's division game in Cincinnati on Sunday.
Parker has missed the past two games with a sprained left knee. He returned to practice Monday and was expected to play against the Bengals, only to aggravate the injury while working out on his own Tuesday, according to coach Mike Tomlin.
Parker will be replaced by third-down back Mewelde Moore.
