Pressure getting to the Cowboys?

Cowboys linebacker Bradie James actually made the statement Monday that the media contributed to the club's playoff loss to the Giants last January. For a team that already has a reputation for being soft around the edges, I'm pretty sure James should've kept that opinion to himself.
He's made a lot of interesting statements since appointing himself team spokesman two years ago. Tim MacMahon of the Dallas Morning News' Cowboys Blog talks about Bradie's latest gem:
"Man, I've never seen anything like it," James said Monday. "We come in here, and I guess everybody expects us to be some kind of superheroes, which in essence we kind of are, but man ... I come in here on Monday, and I'm trying to enjoy my win, and people are, like, beating us up.
"So it's really tough, man. Right now, we know with us having so many expectations the only people we can make happy are in this locker room, and that's really it."
Honestly, I sort of admire a man who acknowledges his superhero status. Maybe we should just stop all our griping and let Bradie enjoy the big win over the Bengals. On Monday, I'm told that coach Wade Phillips talked to his team about the misguided media, which tells you everything you need to know.
But if you're in search of a backbone on this team, let me offer up Jason Witten, Marcus Spears, Zach Thomas and DeMarcus Ware. In reading their comments, it's obvious they weren't satisfied with Sunday's win. And those players aren't running from the criticism.
Wade has spent the last 20 months offering shelter to his players. And the results (17-4) are pretty impressive. But the byproduct of that is that everyone expects this team to win in January. And that hasn't happened around here in a long time.
