1:56:23 pm Cowboys C Andre Gurode (knee) was back on the practice field today after missing yesterday. WR Roy Williams (ribs) did not practice but still holds hope that he will be able to go on Sunday versus the Chiefs.

1:58:56 pm "I am going to stay the course and try to get better. It's all a process." - Cowboys QB Tony Romo on the ups and downs he has experienced so far in 2009.

2:42:38 pm This week's game at Kansas City will lead into the Cowboys bye week. Since 1990 when the bye week was installed, the Cowboys hold an impressive 16-4 record in games preceding the bye.

3:24:44 pm “Anytime you’re in a situation we’re in or Kansas City, you definitely know you need these games. This one is as important as they come. We know that. I think we’re going to leave it all on the field and do everything we can to win this game.’’ - Cowboys QB Tony Romo.

3:35:52 pm Cowboys QB Tony Romo on the thought that he has gone from gunslinger to game manager. “Yeah, the terms you use are not what I would use. I think you want to be a guy who protects the football and makes plays. That’s what you’re looking for. Some defenses are harder to do that against than others.’’

3:38:04 pm "There’s been a lot of guys who have been a part of this staff. A lot of players have changed, a lot of schemes have changed since him. And vice versa with any coaching strategies he might have." - Cowboys TE Jason Witten on Chiefs coach Todd Haley, who was a part of Bill Parcells staff in Dallas

3:43:17 pm "Any time you look at us going on the road against a team that’s not really that good, you never know how it’s going to turn out. Wade has mentioned that the difference between an 0-4 team and 4-0 team is very little. I think we all understand that and realize how important this game is." - Cowboys TE Jason Witten on playing the 0-4 Chiefs.
