When Chris Canty showed up to work Monday, he noticed a Pittsburgh T-shirt and hat hung up in his locker and sheepishly had to wear the Pitt Panthers' gear as the result of a bet with ex-Pitt running back and current Cowboys teammate Lousaka Polite.
Polite's Panthers beat Canty's Virginia Cavaliers over the weekend to open the college football season.
The happiest person may have been cornerback Nate Jones, whose alma mater, Rutgers, beat North Carolina. Unfortunately for Jones, he didn't have a bet with QB Matt Baker or LB Greg Ellis on the game.
