The tandem of Jones and Barber worked to perfection as Jones rushed for over 1,000 yards and Barber rushed for 654 yards and scored 16 touchdowns. Jones will be in the final year of his contract in 2007. The Cowboys must decide if he is the future at the running back position or if Barber can carry the load full-time. Ross was a solid find at fullback after making the transition from linebacker, though he hit a wall in the second half of the season. Thompson has likely lost his job as the primary kickoff returner after missing half the season with a fractured ankle. It still must be decided if he can be trusted at running back, even on a part-time basis.
