The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports 49ers offensive coordinator Norv Turner is the leading candidate to be the Cowboys' next head coach.

Turner will now interview Sunday, not Saturday after the Senior Bowl as originally reported, and has bypassed the Niners' lucrative offer to keep him. Wade Phillips, who already interviewed for the job, says he doesn't anticipate Dallas' coaching search being "a long, drawn-out process."
